At Porta Romana, every piece is handcrafted and unique. Whether you select one of our existing designs or customise your own, every piece is MADE TO ORDER. Every detail can be tailored to work perfectly with your interior — from finishes and fabrics, to creating something completely bespoke.

PAINTING STUDIO

All of our hand-painted pieces are available in any choice of painted finish from the Porta Romana library. We can also colour match or create bespoke decorative finishes for our painted pieces. Simply provide us with a reference and we’ll match it at no additional cost.

LAMPSHADE STUDIO

We make our lampshades in-house which allows you to make the perfect choice. From the shape and fabric to the lining and trim, you can build your shade all on a one-week lead time. Shades can also be produced in a customer's own material.

LAMPHOLDER & FLEX

As part of our standard offer, lamps will be paired with a complementary lampholder from a choice of antique brass, brass, bronze and nickel, along with one of our coloured flex — ranging from neutral browns and cream, to silvers and golds. You have the option to shape every detail of your piece to perfectly suit your interior.

CUSTOM FURNITURE

Our furniture is hand-forged in England which allows you to customise many of our pieces — size, proportions and painted finish can all be changed to suit your interior. Get in touch to find out more

Wall & Ceiling Lights

Occasionally, wall lights may need larger or smaller backplates and we can adapt pieces to suit the space. A ‘soft-wire’ option is available for wall light designs, wired with external flex and plug. Many ceiling lights can also be adapted to use a rod or chain and to a drop of your specification. Canopies can also be swapped for alternative sizes.

Axel 5 Tier Custom Chandelier

Tanner Morgan loved the Axel 2 Tier chandelier but it wasn’t big enough for the lakeside lodge he was designing in Ohio so we scaled up the design to create an Axel 5 Tier custom chandelier which works perfectly in the space.

We collaborated with Carden Park Spa Hotel & Golf Resort to develop our Salperton family of wall and table lamps into statement chandeliers and pendants for their restaurant. Working alongside our design team and makers we brought their brief to life within twelve-weeks.
